Aspiring Producer and Director, born in Japan, and raised in the Philippines; Marguerite-Nikki Taylor began her career as a model for television commercials. From there her passion for the entertainment industry evolved from being in front of a lens to behind it. She started producing and hosting her own local television show Behind the Scenes with Nikki Taylor in the city of Cebu and was broadcast on a local television channel RCTV 36. The show ran for 4 years.
Desiring to become a bigger fish in a larger pond, she moved to the United States to pursue a degree in Film. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies from the University of Colorado - Boulder. While in college, she produced and directed various short films: Daughter (2011), Fade (2012), The Vanished Tear (2014), The Broken Screen (2014). She also got an opportunity to work in the camera department on her first feature length film: Bill the Galactic Hero (2014).
Following graduation, she immediately began her path in the film industry as a production assistant and eventually moved on as a camera operator, editor, production coordinator and field producer for various production companies in Boulder, Denver, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California where she collaborates with fellow aspiring filmmakers and works freelance on various projects while working full time in television.
